Eminem has agreed to cut-out any homophobic lyrics when he headlines a UK music festival next year.

The rapper, real name Marshall Mathers, will be performing at the Wireless Festival in July, 2010 and faced a backlash from gay rights activists OutRage! over some of his song words.

But Eminem has now agreed to tone down his lyrics.

OutRage! spokesman David Allison says in a statement: "We have a condition that he does not use lyrics that encourage or incite hatred against gay people.

"He is free to express his views on gay people, as long as he stays off the violence and hatred.
He has got plenty of other lyrics to choose from. In recent years he has become quite well-behaved.

"I think he realises singing songs advocating hate and violence just won't wash any more. Society's moved on in the last 10 years."

In 2000, you hadn't made any music yet.
No, I was on the dole. I got my first job, but it wasn't an ongoing job, I got to do Elastica's album cover in 2000. I would go in [to the unemployment office] and make really complicated job titles up that they couldn't find, and I got to know everyone on a first name basis, and I thought, "This is not good." That went on until 2003.

What was your vision for this decade and how does it compare to the reality?
I wanted to be a documentary filmmaker. That was the shit. I was obsessed with other people, and I liked traveling, and I felt an urgency to tell people's stories all the time. I was doing graphics, photography, but ultimately I wanted to make a documentary. I was still working at a shop when I had "Galang" out, and it was record of the week at Radio 1. People were in the shop saying, "What's going on, why are people calling?" I had no idea.

The Phelps' family (of the Westboro Baptist Church) had earlier released a press release (which was posted a week ago on ONTD) that they are going to protest the Lady Gaga concert January 7th in St. Louis, MO. They claim that God hates all gays, and Lady Gaga loves all gays, therefore God hates Lady Gaga as well.

One of their daughters, Megan Phelps-Roper just posted her "God hates Lady Gaga" sign on her Twitter.

At least she's looking pretty fierce.

Part of me wants to picket their church the same day because I live about 20 minutes away.

Huntington Beach - An autopsy Tuesday on Avenged Sevenfold drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan was inconclusive as to the cause of the 28-year-old musician's death.

The Orange County coroner's office ordered "toxicology, microscopic and laboratory tests" to help determine why Sullivan died, according to Jim Amormino, a spokesman for the Sheriff's-Coroner's office.

It's likely to take about weeks to get the results of those tests, officials said.

Looking a little festive and absolutely classy and lovely (note: whack commentary is not mine) we beheld Mischa Barton out and about yesterday! It’s good to see Mischa looking good and looking happy. We snapped her as she had dinner with her boyfriend and a female friend at Joan’s On Third Restaurant.

Pete Wentz was seen sporting a black eye and busted up face while shopping in NYC yesterday with his son, Brooklyn Baloo or whatever, but don't worry, there's a totally reasonable, non-Ashlee Simpson-beating-him explanation for the bruises.

"The mean streets of NY got to him," his rep joked to UsMagazine.com.

But a source close to the Fall Out Boy rocker, 30, tells Us he simply fell on the street and insists the bruise "is not as bad as it looks." (Source)

That's funny, usually when I fall down on the street -- not that I fall down on the street a lot or anything, (OK maybe I totally do and even did yesterday when I was distracted by some lady that got pulled over for not having a driver's license) -- I usually just scrape my knee of twist my ankle. A full-on busted up face is a new one, even for someone who totally doesn't but maybe actually does fall down in the street all the time. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're going to lie about your wife beating the crap about you, at least make it believable. Like something involving a doorknob.

The writer of this article is a dumb bitch. Ashlee wasn't even around Pete when his face got busted. He clearly "fell" in SEATTLE.

Free-on-bail director Roman Polanski has filed a lawsuit alleging that his privacy has been violated by the hordes of nosy photographers camped outside his Swiss chalet, where he's currently living it up under electronically monitored house arrest. He's seeking £700,000 and, hilariously, he just might get it, since the complaint was filed in celebrity-friendly Paris, which has some of the world's strictest privacy laws. If he wins, it could spell the end of exceptional photojournalism like the picture above.

Zachary Levi, who is dating musician Caitlin Crosby, doesn't have kids yet, but it seems like he's on a family-friendly film tear with Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel and Rapunzel.

However, he insists that at this point, his choices have more to do with job security than with impressing future offspring.

"I'm leaning toward projects that are willing to hire me," he says with a laugh. "But I do have a lot of love and respect for family films, the reason being, yes, if and when I have kids, for them to be able to see stuff that daddy has done (that's) not some psycho mass murderer."

Levi says he's surprised that Chuck, which returns with a two-hour premiere Jan. 10 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC,has become a go-to source of entertainment for some families, too.

"One of the things I've learned through this process with Chuck is that entire families sit down and watch together, and they really appreciate that time. Especially when kids get older and are splintering off and they're doing their own thing, and parents are always wanting quality time but they never get it. Oddly, crazily enough, we offer them this hour when they all sit down as a family unit and watch a TV show together, and enjoy it together. That's a really special service to provide to someone."

The crew of Chuck has become like a family for Levi, since they shoot for most of the year with few breaks.

"Television offers you this really special thing that you don't really get in films all that often, which is this family — a real family unit that you're with basically for nine and a half months. ... We're together all the time, and so you get this really amazing opportunity to be in these people's lives for years and years at a time, but then it's also pretty heartbreaking when it all comes to an end and you're all moving on to other projects."

With his career in high gear, Levi will likely be moving on to plenty of new projects — for both kids and adults.

And his good fortune is certainly not lost on him.

"I envy me!"

Characters that dress, sound and talk alike are safe choices and the hope is they'll burnish ratings.
"Archetypes are that for a reason -- they've stood the test of time, and have a powerful, iconic status for audiences," said Josh Schwartz, executive producer for fan favorites "Chuck," "Gossip Girl" and "The O.C." "People relate to them, project themselves onto them. The key is in how you update these characters, modernize them, give voice to them, and most importantly, cast them."
Here's the latest list of the small screen's usual suspects...

I’ve been on a Law and Order binge this holiday season. As every human with eyes and couches knows, this entails watching roughly more hours of Law and Order per day than there are hours in a given day for more days than there are days, and it’s such a common occurrence in humanity, I don’t even feel the need to acknowledge this practice as unusual or even really noteworthy.

So I’m writing this post not to brag about amateur tv-addict behaviour (Britishized for class), but to point out three universal observations about the show that we’ve all noticed and all pointed out before, but which require cataloging here so that when future alien civilizations discover Law and Order and BWE.tv in that order, they’ll be all like, “Yeah I know, right???” Then they’ll be like “Blaxnorff!!!” cause they’re aliens and only speak some English.

John Mulaney has a comprehensive standup bit about L&O that covers the universal basics of the show with superhuman accuracy — Jerry Orbach’s before-the-commercial corpse wisecracks, the New York bartender who remembers everyone, the vague and lame pre-body discovery extras dialogue, and so on — but the show is so ubiquitous, so unapologetically formulaic, and still so inexplicably addictive after all these years, I feel the list of universally accepted L&O rules needs to be expanded.

To pre-emptively avoid rambling forever, I’ve kept the list to just three. Without murder ado (typing that hurt both of us), here are 3 Additional Universal Truths of Law & Order.
In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate but equally important groups: the detectives who investigate the crimes and the district attorneys who prosecute the defendants. These are their stories... )

In July we learned that Christian Siriano was collaborating with Starbucks, but details weren't to be announced until November 17. But Christian couldn't wait that long, so he started tweeting about it yesterday. Sadly, he is not making beverage costumes to replace the boring cardboard sleeves. He just designed a miniature Starbucks gift card that you can put on a key chain. Also, Starbucks donated $50,000 on his behalf to the Art of Elysium, an organization that connects celebrities with kids battling serious medical conditions. So Christian is designing dresses for five young ladies between the ages of 15 and 19 who have been in and out of the hospital. The ladies will wear the dresses to the Art of Elysium gala in January. Hopefully, Christian (and his boyfriend, Brad) will escort them. Here you see a picture of them with their sketches. Ironically, when Christian had to dress a teen for a Project Runway challenge, he almost lost the episode. But we vaguely recall that owing more to That Girl's diva ways than to anything else.

"Top Chef Las Vegas" pitted brother against brother, but the two finalists are now showing some brotherly love via the World Wide Web.

Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, the runner-up and winner of Bravo's popular reality-cooking competition, will star in a Web series focusing on their favorite ingredients, techniques and gadgets.

The videos will be posted beginning in January on the Voltaggio Brothers Web site, VoltaggioBrothers.com, "The Website for Food Lovers."

Bryan, 33, is chef and partner at VOLT, his critically-acclaimed restaurant in Frederick, Md. Younger brother Michael, 30, serves as Chef de Cuisine at the Michelin-starred the Dining Room at the Langham in Pasadena, Calif.
